About The Recipe
Coconut milk is derived from the flesh of coconuts and is known for its rich, creamy texture and distinct coconut flavour. It is often used in various cuisines for both sweet and savoury dishes, providing a dairy-free alternative with a tropical flair. The infusion involves combining cannabis with coconut milk to introduce cannabinoids such as THC or CBD into the liquid. Typically, decarboxylated cannabis is simmered or steeped in coconut milk to activate the cannabinoids, making them bioavailable for consumption.
Cannabis Coconut Milk is a delicious creation that blends the velvety richness of coconut milk with the infusion of cannabis, achieved through a precise process of decarboxylation and gentle heating, resulting in a flavorful and potent base ideal for both savoury delights like curries and sweet indulgences such as desserts, providing a vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free option with customizable potency levels.
What is coconut milk's shelf life?
Unopened cans or cartons of commercially produced coconut milk typically have a shelf life of several months to a year, as indicated on the packaging. Once opened, coconut milk should be refrigerated and consumed within a few days to a week, depending on the specific product and storage conditions.
Over time, cannabinoids in cannabis-infused products may degrade due to factors such as exposure to light, heat, and oxygen. Proper storage in a cool, dark place and airtight containers can help slow down the degradation process. Store Cannabis Infused Coconut Milk in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or excessive heat. Regularly check for any signs of spoilage, such as an off odour or changes in colour or texture. To keep track of the infusion date and ensure freshness, consider labelling the container with the date of preparation.
